Dresses From Neverland

In partnership with Dress a Girl Around the World, 2300 Make A Pact is re-igniting its “Dresses From Neverland” campaign once again to collect dresses for little girls suffering from impoverished and underprivileged circumstances. Last year, 2300 has sent 500 dresses to girls in Appalachia. This year, their dresses will be donated to us, Heal The World For Children, in support of our humanitarian trip to Sierra Leone, Africa.

Dresses will be hand-delivered by the HTWFC team to girls at a local hospital, community school and church, along with much needed medical supplies, vitamins and related health education as well as toys. Sierra Leone has the highest infant/child mortality rate in the world due to preventable diseases, so the HTWFC team will be making an important contribution towards the healing of this community.

From May 1 to June 19, 2012, the “Dresses From Neverland” campaign is collecting:

1. Ready-made dresses only (no materials). T-shirt and pillowcase dresses are both acceptable. We have one collection site in the US and one in the UK. See dress making instructions and guidelines here: www.dressagirlaroundtheworld.com

2. Monetary donations to cover expenses to ship dresses from the US to the UK cargo unit bound for Sierra Leone. You may donate to 2300 via Paypal to info@2300makeapact.com, indicating in the memo that your donation is for the “Dresses From Neverland” campaign.

Dresses will be shipped from the UK to Sierra Leone in August so that they arrive in time for the HTWFC visit in November. In the event that there are too many dresses causing logistical shipping issues, extra dresses will be delivered to hospitals and orphanages in Romania and Spain visited by HTWFC this year. All deliveries will be documented.

Would you like to donate? Please contact 2300 Make A Pact on Facebook or address your inquiry to info@2300makeapact.com. Given the strength of this collaborative effort, a great success is anticipated in honor of the artist-humanitarian who inspires us all to live a life of service, Michael Jackson.
